Turkish Stock Exchange Rises at Midweek’s Open

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 13,260.12 points, marking an increase of 0.32% or 42.52 points from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had climbed 2.01% on Tuesday, closing at 13,217.60 points, with a daily transaction volume of 127.1 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.87 billion. As of 9.45 am local time (0645GMT), the exchange rates were 44.2165 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.2065 to the euro, and 59.2140 to the British pound. Additionally, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $5,011.10, while Brent crude oil was trading at $98.40 per barrel.
