Beijing: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened the week positively on Monday at 11,349.23 points, marking an increase of 0.34% or 37.92 points compared to its previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had closed on Friday at 11,311.31 points, which was an increase of 0.69% from the day before. The daily transaction volume on that day reached 111 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.61 billion.

At 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were noted with the Turkish lira trading at 42.7005 against the US dollar, 50.1325 against the euro, and 57.1110 against the British pound. Meanwhile, commodities also showed notable rates, with the price of an ounce of gold at $4,346.10, and Brent crude oil trading at $61.20 per barrel.
