Ankara: The Turkish benchmark stock index concluded Thursday's trading session at 9,935.96 points, marking a 0.5% increase from the previous day's close. According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index, which commenced the fourth trading day of the week at 9,912.17 points, saw a rise of 49.91 points compared to Wednesday's closing figure. The day's transaction volume reached 83.5 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.4 billion. Throughout the day, the index experienced fluctuations with a low of 9,849.47 points and a high of 9,965.51 points. The currency exchange rates recorded at 7 pm local time (1600GMT) included the USD/TRY at 34.6990, the EUR/TRY at 36.8020, and the GBP/TRY at 44.3280. Additionally, the price of gold was reported at $2,641.60 per ounce, and the barrel price of Brent crude oil stood at $72.5.
