Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 11,346.15 points, registering a modest increase of 0.10% or 11.10 points compared to the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 rose by 0.43%, closing at 11,335.05 points. The daily trading volume was recorded at 117.5 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.75 billion.

As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were as follows: the US dollar against the Turkish lira (USD/TRY) was 42.8095, the euro against the Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) was 50.2005, and the British pound against the Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) was 57.3345.

In the commodities market, the price of one ounce of gold was reported at $4,324.75, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $59.40.
