Istanbul:Türkiye is set to host the ninth Istanbul Mediation Conference this Friday and Saturday, gathering experts to explore conflict resolution and mediation strategies.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the event will be hosted by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul. It will focus on the theme "Partnerships and New Perspectives for Peace Mediation in a Changing World," as detailed in an official statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

The Istanbul Mediation Conference, launched in 2012, has established itself as a prominent global platform for addressing conflict resolution and mediation issues. Türkiye, through its Mediation for Peace initiative, co-launched with Finland at the UN in 2010, actively advocates for peaceful dispute resolution.

Furthermore, Türkiye is involved in mediation efforts across various regions and co-chairs the Groups of Friends on Mediation at the UN, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
