UAE Dismantles Terror Network Linked to Hezbollah and Iran

Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates declared that it had dismantled a 'terrorist network' inside the country, reportedly funded and directed by Hezbollah and Iran, as reported by the state news agency WAM. The State Security Department revealed that the members of this cell had been arrested and were operating under the guise of fake business entities.

According to Anadolu Agency, authorities have accused the group of targeting the UAE's national economy through coordination with external actors. The cell was allegedly involved in activities such as terror financing, money laundering, and posing threats to national security.

The agency emphasized that the UAE would maintain a stringent stance against any attempts to compromise the country's security or stability, vowing not to tolerate foreign interference. This announcement was made in the context of ongoing retaliatory strikes by Iran against Gulf countries, amidst joint US and Israeli military actions that have reportedly resulted in approximately 1,300 casualties.
