Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has affirmed its position of not permitting the use of its airspace, territory, or waters for any military actions against Iran. This commitment was reiterated by the UAE Foreign Ministry, emphasizing that the nation will not provide logistical support for any offensive against Tehran.

According to Anadolu Agency, the UAE Foreign Ministry highlighted the importance of dialogue, de-escalation, adherence to international law, and respect for state sovereignty as the primary strategies for addressing current international crises. The statement underscores the Gulf country's preference for resolving disputes through diplomatic means.

Tensions have been escalating between Washington and Tehran following widespread anti-government protests in several Iranian cities due to worsening economic conditions. Reports from US media indicate that the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and three destroyers reached the Indian Ocean as they head towards the Gulf of Oman, amid speculations of a potential US strike on Iran.

US President Donald Trump confirmed these developments, mentioning that an American naval armada is moving towards the Middle East while maintaining close surveillance of the situation in Iran. The US administration has stated that all options, including military intervention, remain open as the US and Israel push for changes in Iran's leadership.

Iranian officials have issued warnings that any US military action will be met with a swift and comprehensive response.
