UK Asserts Strong Stance Against Russian Aggression

London: Russia should be "in no doubt" about the UK's resolve to stand against Russian "aggression," the UK's Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday, responding to Moscow's warning over London's military support for Ukraine.

According to Anadolu Agency, the UK's Defense Ministry emphasized Britain's commitment to supporting Ukraine with necessary equipment to defend against what it described as Putin's illegal invasion. British media quoted a ministry spokesperson affirming that "Britain stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine."

The ministry's statement followed a warning from the Russian Embassy in London, which cautioned that Britain's actions in supplying military aid to Ukraine would result in consequences. The embassy highlighted that "London's actions will inevitably carry consequences for which it will have to answer," reflecting on reports that British-supplied drones were used by Kyiv to target Russia.

Furthermore, the embassy warned that "the deeper its involvement in the conflict and the greater its support for Kiev's terrorist machinery, the higher the price it will pay."

Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Andy Burnham, marking the first foreign leader to engage with the new British premier who succeeded Keir Starmer. During their talks, Burnham reiterated the UK's "unwavering" support for Kyiv, assuring Zelenskyy, "we've got your back."
