UK Condemns Israel’s ‘Deplorable Attacks’ on Gaza Health Care Facilities

London: UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has strongly condemned Israel's recent actions against health care facilities in Gaza, declaring that such "deplorable attacks" must cease immediately.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lammy emphasized that Al-Ahli Hospital has been repeatedly targeted since the onset of the conflict. In a statement posted on X, he noted that these assaults have severely compromised access to healthcare in the region, highlighting that lasting peace can only be achieved through diplomatic means rather than ongoing violence.

On Sunday, Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, located in central Gaza, was struck by two Israeli missiles. The attack specifically damaged the hospital's emergency room, surgical operations building, and medical oxygen production station, effectively rendering the last functioning hospital in the area out of service. Such attacks on healthcare facilities are classified as war crimes, further intensifying the international call for an end to hostilities.
