Both leaders welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, emphasizing that negotiations must lead to the next vital step forward to ensure lasting peace in the region.

On the subject of Gaza, both leaders agreed on the necessity for an urgent acceleration of aid and the need to resolve the intolerable situation faced by its people. They stressed the importance of immediate humanitarian efforts to alleviate the crisis.

Shifting focus to the situation in Ukraine, Starmer once again thanked Erdogan for Trkiye's pivotal role in supporting peace talks and planning with the Coalition of the Willing.
