Kyiv: Ukraine on Wednesday downplayed the threat of a large-scale missile attack by Russia, saying such threats are a "daily reality." According to Anadolu Agency, multiple diplomatic missions in Kyiv closed on Wednesday after receiving information about a potential air attack. The war, continuing for over 1,000 days, is said to have entered a new phase after US approval to use American missiles to attack Russian territory. Ukraine on Wednesday fired British Storm Shadow cruise missiles into Russia, a day after it fired US ATACMS missiles, according to sources cited by multiple news outlets. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi stated that Kyiv is in constant contact with its partners regarding potential security threats. He emphasized that airstrikes and threats by Russia have been a 'daily reality' for Ukrainians since the start of the war on February 24, 2022. 'We believe that it would be correct for partners to react on the 1,001st day in the same way as on the previous thousand days, wi thout any additional information injection,' Tykhyi added. Despite downplaying the threats, he urged Ukrainians not to ignore air alerts and to head to shelters in case of any danger.
