Paris: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a Ukrainian delegation is set to meet with US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in Paris. This meeting, which will also include representatives from France, the UK, and Germany, is part of Ukraine's efforts to secure security guarantees and enhance diplomatic coordination.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy confirmed that high-level officials, including Ukraine's foreign and defense ministers and the head of the presidential office, will participate in discussions with their French counterparts. During a press briefing, Zelenskyy mentioned that US representative Witkoff would be present at the joint meeting. He emphasized a shared understanding with French President Emmanuel Macron concerning the current diplomatic and military landscape.

Zelenskyy also revealed plans for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the US, which would detail economic partnership intentions and investment plans for Ukraine's reconstruction. He indicated that this MoU could be signed online imminently, highlighting ongoing efforts by both sides to finalize the agreement. Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko is working on the draft, and she noted substantial progress in negotiations, with plans for parliamentary ratification in Ukraine.

Despite a US-brokered energy ceasefire, Zelenskyy criticized Russia for persisting with missile and drone attacks, targeting civilian infrastructure instead of energy facilities. He dismissed Russian claims that Ukraine was attacking its energy sector, countering with evidence of continued Russian aggression.

In response to ongoing tensions, Zelenskyy announced upcoming sanctions targeting Kremlin propagandists and Iskander missile producers. He also responded to US President Donald Trump's characterization of a Russian missile strike in Sumy as 'a mistake,' clarifying the intentional nature of the attack.
