Zaporizhzhia: Ukraine announced on Monday that at least three individuals lost their lives due to Russian strikes in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. The strikes occurred in the town of Stepnohirsk, located approximately 32 kilometers south of the region's administrative center.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zaporizhzhia Governor Ivan Federov reported that Russia launched 405 strikes targeting 10 settlements within the region. The attacks resulted in damage to apartments, non-residential buildings, communication networks, and private residences. This development comes as tensions persist, with Ukrainian forces claiming ongoing clashes with Russian troops for control over the village of Kamianske, situated about five kilometers south of Stepnohirsk.

Ukrainian military spokesman Vladyslav Voloshyn, speaking to state news agency Ukrinform, stated that while Russian forces are present in Kamianske, Ukrainian Defense Forces hold positions on the northern and northeastern outskirts of the village. Voloshyn denied reports that Kamianske is fully under Russian control, explaining that Ukrainian troops had withdrawn to the outskirts following airstrikes and artillery bombardments.

Russian authorities have not yet commented on the incident or the claims made by Ukraine. The Zaporizhzhia region has been a frequent target of Russian airstrikes throughout the ongoing conflict, which is now entering its fourth year.
