Ankara: Ukraine said on Tuesday that at least four people were injured due to a Russian drone attack in the country's southwestern city of Odesa.

According to Anadolu Agency, Odesa Governor Oleh Kiper stated on Telegram that four people were injured as a result of the Russian attack. He confirmed that doctors are providing the necessary assistance to everyone affected. Kiper noted that three of the injured individuals were hospitalized in moderate condition, while the fourth person suffered a concussion.

Kiper also reported damage to the local energy infrastructure as a result of the attack, leading to emergency power outages in parts of the city. He mentioned that utilities have begun working on launching generators to operate critical infrastructure, such as boiler rooms.

Furthermore, Kiper detailed that the attack resulted in damage to two private houses and a business center due to falling debris from the downed drones and blast waves. Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov later announced on Telegram that the heat supply to residential houses in the city has been restored.

Ukraine's Air Force claimed in a statement that it downed 65 out of 99 drones launched by Russia on the Odesa region and other regions, including Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv. Russian authorities have not yet commented on the attack.
