Kyiv: Ukraine will receive about 1.8 million artillery shells this year under the Czech ammunition initiative, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced following discussions with his Czech counterpart, Jan Lipavsky, in Kyiv.

According to Anadolu Agency, Sybiha and Lipavsky's talks covered a comprehensive agenda of bilateral relations. Key topics included military support, joint arms production, energy security, and Czechia's involvement in the Grain from Ukraine initiative. Discussions also touched on reconstruction efforts and support for Ukrainian citizens in Czechia.

Sybiha expressed gratitude towards Prague for establishing a training center for Ukrainian F-16 pilots and for supporting Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration efforts. He also acknowledged Czechia's firm stance on increasing sanctions against Russia.

Lipavsky commented on X, highlighting the unity between the two nations, driven by their shared goal to end Russia's war of aggression and strengthened by friendship and honest dialogue.

In March, Ukrainian and Czech leaders reached an agreement to elevate bilateral relations to a strategic partnership level.
