Ankara: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reaffirmed her country's appreciation for European support on Friday, following heated exchanges between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US leaders, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

According to Anadolu Agency, Sybiha expressed gratitude to European allies, including the Netherlands, Estonia, Spain, and Poland, underscoring that 'Ukraine is not alone.' In statements on social media, she highlighted her conversations with key European diplomats, emphasizing the solidarity and support Ukraine continues to receive from its European neighbors.

Sybiha mentioned a discussion with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp, expressing her appreciation for their solidarity. She also thanked her Polish counterpart, Radoslaw Sikorski, for Poland's strong and continued support. After a conversation with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, she highlighted shared values of 'freedom and dignity,' stating that with friends like these, Ukraine knows it is not alone.

These remarks come amid escalating tensions between Ukraine and the US administration. President Trump and Vice President Vance accused Zelenskyy of being ungrateful for American military and financial assistance during a more than 40-minute confrontation at the White House. Despite these tensions, Zelenskyy has consistently urged Washington to maintain its support for Kyiv's ongoing war effort against Russia.

The diplomatic exchanges underscore the growing friction between Kyiv and Washington, even as Ukraine continues to rally European support.
