Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a new meeting of negotiating teams will take place in the near future as part of ongoing efforts to end the war. This announcement follows the conclusion of talks involving Ukraine, the US, and Russia earlier in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy made these remarks during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Kyiv. He stated that both sides have agreed to maintain contact and expressed Ukraine's desire for faster results. The Ukrainian delegation is expected to provide Zelenskyy with a detailed briefing upon their return.

Zelenskyy highlighted the sensitivity of the information exchanged during the discussions, noting that all issues were covered. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum of the dialogue, which he hopes will eventually lead to the end of the war. The president also outlined cooperation with Poland in energy, defense, and reconstruction, mentioning joint defense programs and plans to co-produce drones and other weapons.

Zelenskyy stressed the necessity of continued pressure on Russia, stating that the war must conclude with reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and the surrounding region. He firmly stated that the recognition of Ukrainian territories as Russian by any party would not alter Kyiv's stance, asserting that Ukrainian territories remain theirs despite their temporary occupation status.

The two-day bilateral and trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi were part of diplomatic efforts to explore pathways toward ending the ongoing conflict.
