Ukrainian Delegation Heads to Washington for Defense and Energy Talks

Washington: A Ukrainian delegation led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov departed for Washington for a series of high-level meetings focused on defense cooperation, energy security, and sanctions coordination, presidential office chief Andriy Yermak said on Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Yermak stated that the visit's agenda follows specific objectives set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. These objectives include strengthening air defense and strike capabilities, enhancing energy resilience ahead of winter, and intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia.

Yermak emphasized that the ultimate goal of the delegation's visit remains unchanged: achieving a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine by compelling Russia to end the war. Yermak communicated these goals through a message on Telegram.
