Kyiv: Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Friday voiced support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after his fiery clash at the White House, warning that a cease-fire without security guarantees would open the door to further Russian expansion across Europe. Zelenskyy got into a heated war of words with Trump and Vice President JD Vance, who repeatedly accused the embattled Ukrainian leader of being ungrateful for Americans' support in Kyiv's war effort against Moscow.

According to Anadolu Agency, Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian presidential office, stressed unwavering support for Zelenskyy's efforts to secure lasting peace. He emphasized that security is vital for a future without conflict and fear, warning that without real guarantees, the threat of war would persist. Yermak expressed his full support for Zelenskyy, highlighting the president's commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace.

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also praised Zelenskyy's leadership, asserting that the president possesses the bravery and strength to stand up for what is right. He reiterated Ukraine's gratitude for America's support and affirmed the continued commitment to pursuing a just peace. Ukrainian Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov echoed these sentiments, dismissing the idea of a guarantee-free peace as a "trap" set by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and lauded Zelenskyy's courage in defending the honor of the Ukrainian people.
