Sumy: Ukrainian forces have withdrawn from several positions near the border village of Hrabovske in the northeastern Sumy region, state media reported. This development comes amidst heightened tensions in the area.

According to Anadolu Agency, citing the Main Directorate of Communications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it was reported that Russian forces have crossed into the Sumy region near the village of Hrabovske. This incursion prompted the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from various positions in the vicinity. The directorate confirmed that units of the Joint Forces Task Force are currently engaged in stabilization efforts.

The report further states that Russian troops entered Hrabovske and allegedly took more than 50 people into Russia. Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets confirmed these claims in a statement on Telegram. He mentioned reaching out to his Russian counterpart, Tatyana Moskalkova, for more information and also contacting the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding the situation.

So far, Russian authorities have not provided any comments on these allegations. Meanwhile, Ukraine's Joint Forces Task Force has announced on Facebook that clashes are ongoing in the border village of Hrabovske, indicating continued unrest in the area.
