Antalya: UK unemployment was at 4.4% in February, unchanged from the previous month, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Tuesday. According to Anadolu Agency, there are around 1.574 million unemployed people aged 16 and older in the UK, the office said. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate was above estimates of a year ago, but largely unchanged in the latest quarter, it noted. The country's employment rate was at 75.1%, and the number of employed persons was 33.9 million as of February. The economic inactivity rate in the country was at 21.4%. The ONS also said employees' average earnings rose 5.9% in the country, slightly below estimates of 6.0%. Average weekly earnings in February were estimated at £670 ($883.7).
