Tehran: The US and Israel launched two attacks on Iran's Natanz nuclear facility over the weekend, Iran's nuclear agency chief announced on Monday. Mohammad Eslami, in a letter addressed to Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), stated, "The criminal regimes of the United States and Israel, pursuing their aggression, again targeted the Natanz nuclear site on Sunday afternoon in two brutal attacks," as reported by Iran's semi-official ISNA news agency.

According to Anadolu Agency, Eslami urged the IAEA to take decisive action against the attacks on nuclear facilities, emphasizing that the agency "must condemn these actions." Eslami's call to the IAEA reflects Iran's desire for international acknowledgment and response to the assaults on its nuclear infrastructure.

The ongoing military confrontation in the Middle East has intensified with these coordinated US-Israeli strikes, which have reportedly killed several top Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military assets and energy facilities across the region. These retaliatory strikes have reached at least eight countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar, escalating the conflict significantly.
