Ankara: US forces struck a site in the mountainous area of Khorramabad in western Iran's Lorestan province, according to Iranian media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the state broadcaster IRIB reported that the attack targeted a location in the heights surrounding Khorramabad, without providing further details. There were no reports of casualties or damages from the attack.

The US has increased its military actions against Iran since last week, prompting Iran to retaliate with strikes targeting facilities and bases it claims are used by the US military in several regional countries. This exchange of fire occurs despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding signed in June, aimed at ending hostilities and achieving a lasting peace agreement between the two nations.
