US Health Agency Issues New Definitions for ‘Sex’, ‘Female’, ‘Male’

Washington: The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued new guidance that defines sex strictly as a biological category of male and female.

According to Anadolu Agency, the guidance was released Wednesday and clarifies that there are only two sexes: male and female. The definitions provide strict terms for "sex", "female", "woman", "girl", "male", "man", and "boy." Additionally, "father" is described as a male parent, and "mother" as a female parent.

HHS will apply these definitions and support policies that recognize men and women based on their biological sex. The agency noted that the guidance was issued to support "President Trump's executive orders defending women and children and restoring the concept of biological truth in federal government."

"This administration is bringing back common sense and restoring biological truth to the federal government," said HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. "The prior administration's policy of trying to engineer gender ideology into every aspect of public life is over."

HHS launched a new webpage, Protecting Women and Children, featuring links to Trump's executive orders on gender issues and a ban on transgender women competing in women's sports.
