Tehran: The United States conducted strikes on southern Iran, targeting several areas in Hormozgan province, as reported by Iranian media. According to Tasnim News Agency, the attacks were carried out by US fighter jets, impacting areas such as Sirik, Qeshm Island, and Minab. At least six explosions were reportedly heard in these regions, and a projectile struck the city of Sirik. Iranian state media confirmed that Qeshm Island was also targeted, while air defense systems were activated in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, and Sirik.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded by attacking 21 American military targets across the region. The IRGC claimed that long-range missiles were used to destroy four major targets at the Al-Azraq base in Jordan, including hangars housing F-35 fighter jets and a command-and-control center. Additionally, a drone attack was launched on the Ali Al Salem Base in Kuwait. The IRGC warned of further decisive responses to any new US attacks and stated that US forces would be held responsible for the consequences. Earlier, the IRGC claimed to have shot down a US MQ-9 drone over Jam County in southern Bushehr province.

In another development, six nations, including the UK, Australia, Canada, France, New Zealand, and Norway, imposed sanctions on networks financing and enabling Israeli settler attacks in the occupied West Bank. According to multiple statements, the sanctions were a response to the increasing violence and settlement expansion in the region. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced the sanctions on the social media platform X, emphasizing the joint efforts of the involved nations. The UK Foreign Office also advised British businesses against engaging in activities in illegal Israeli settlements.
