Tehran: More than 85,000 civilian sites have been damaged since the start of the US-Israeli war, the head of Iran's Red Crescent Society said on Wednesday. Pirhossein Kolivand stated that 85,176 civilian locations were affected, including 64,583 residential units and 19,690 commercial properties, as reported by the Mehr News Agency.

According to Anadolu Agency, Tehran province sustained the heaviest damage, with 282 medical centers and 600 schools targeted. Kolivand emphasized that such actions constitute 'war crimes' under the Geneva Conventions. The ongoing airstrikes by the US and Israel on Iran since February 28 have resulted in over 1,340 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response to the attacks, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These retaliatory actions have caused casualties, damage to infrastructure, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
