Washington: The US employment report for January is scheduled to be released on February 11, following a brief federal government shutdown that delayed the release of the figures.
According to Anadolu Agency, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released a revised calendar on Wednesday after federal government services resumed post-shutdown, which was caused by insufficient funding. The updated schedule indicates that the jobs report, originally set for release on February 6, will now be announced on February 11.
Furthermore, the JOLTS job openings data for December is scheduled for release on February 5. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for January, initially planned for February 11, will now be available on February 13.
The four-day partial government shutdown concluded on February 3 when President Donald Trump signed a budget package that was approved by Congress.
