ISTANBUL: New home sales in the US fell 0.6% in June from the previous month, according to a report Wednesday by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Sales of new single-family homes were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 617,000 -- the lowest since November. New home sales, which show the number of new single-family homes sold, were estimated to come in at 639,000 last month. The figure for May was revised up to 621,000 from 619,000 for a monthly decline of 14.9%. Annually, new home sales in June were 7.4% below the same month in 2023 when the figure stood at 666,000. The median sale price of new homes sold was $417,300 in June and the average sales price was $487,200. Source: Anadolu Agency
