Ankara: The exports of rare earth magnets from China to the US plummeted in September, capping months of recovery, as Washington works to establish alternative supply channels and the top two economies clash in a renewed trade conflict.

According to Anadolu Agency, the significant drop in exports comes amid heightened efforts by the US to diversify its supply chain, reducing reliance on Chinese rare earth materials. This development is part of a broader strategy by the US to secure critical materials necessary for numerous industries, including defense and technology, amid an ongoing trade tension with China. The renewed conflict has prompted both nations to reassess their economic and strategic priorities, with the US actively seeking to bolster its domestic production capabilities and forge new international partnerships.
