Washington: US President Donald Trump and Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman convened at the White House to deliberate on pressing regional and Middle Eastern issues, particularly focusing on the situation in Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, the discussions centered on the ongoing developments in the region and the collaborative efforts required to uphold security and stability. Prince Khalid bin Salman emphasized the significance of these talks in an effort to address the challenges faced in the Middle East.

The Saudi Defense Minister also had meetings with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth and White House envoy Steve Witkoff during his visit. These discussions further underscored the commitment of both nations to work together on security matters.

Following his meeting with President Trump, Prince Khalid bin Salman engaged in a phone conversation with Maj. Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Iran's General Staff of the Armed Forces, indicating a multi-lateral approach to addressing regional issues.
