Washington: Private employers in the US added an average of 8,250 jobs per week for the four weeks ending July 25, marking the sixth consecutive week of slower hiring, according to ADP data on Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, weekly job additions have been on a downward trend, dropping from 11,000 for the week ending July 18 and 14,500 for the week ending July 11. This slowdown in hiring comes after a peak in early May, when job additions reached 35,750, the highest level during the recent tracking period.

ADP Research, in collaboration with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab, produced the employment data, providing insights into the current state of the labor market. As the job market continues to slow, the data underscores the challenges faced by private employers in sustaining employment growth.
