Davos: US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced on Thursday that discussions on reaching a settlement in Ukraine have reached their concluding phase. 'We are at the end now, and I actually am optimistic,' Witkoff stated during a Ukrainian event on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

According to Anadolu Agency, Witkoff expressed that the negotiations have been narrowed down to a single issue, which has been discussed in various iterations, indicating its solvability. He emphasized that if both parties are committed to resolving the matter, a solution is within reach.

Witkoff also mentioned that he, along with US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, will be traveling to Moscow later on Thursday. Following their visit to the Russian capital, they plan to proceed to Abu Dhabi, where they will participate in working group meetings without an overnight stay.
