Washington: The US State Department has reiterated its warning regarding the volatile security situation in the Middle East, advising American citizens to remain cautious as tensions in the region continue to escalate.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Bureau of Consular Affairs highlighted the complex and rapidly changing security environment, urging Americans in the Middle East to stay vigilant and keep abreast of local news that may impact their safety. The travel advisories for countries such as Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the West Bank remain at "Level 3 - reconsider travel." Meanwhile, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Gaza continue to be under a "Level 4 - do not travel" advisory.

These advisories have been in place for some time, but the renewed guidance follows the regional conflict that has been ongoing since February 28. The conflict intensified after the United States and Israel initiated a joint offensive against Iran, affecting key shipping routes and energy infrastructure. This has led to increased prices for oil, gas, and fuel, sparking concerns over potential shortages, inflation, and a possible resurgence of a cost-of-living crisis.
