Washington: US Vice President JD Vance has voiced criticism against recent judicial rulings that have curtailed President Donald Trump's executive orders, stating that such judicial interventions surpass legal authority. Vance emphasized this point by drawing a parallel, suggesting that it would be illegal for a judge to dictate military operations to a general, thereby highlighting his stance on the judiciary's overreach.

According to Anadolu Agency, Vance's comments were made in response to a series of federal court decisions that have temporarily halted several significant Trump administration policies. One such decision was made on January 29 by Washington District Judge Loren AliKhan, who issued an injunction against Trump's order that aimed to suspend federal grants and loans.

Further judicial actions include a ruling on February 6 by Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who restricted the Treasury Department's access to payment records managed by the Financial Services Bureau. This decision came as a result of a lawsuit filed by labor unions. On the same day, Maryland District Judge Deborah Boardman blocked an executive order from Trump that sought to limit birthright citizenship.

Additionally, on February 8, Judge Paul Engelmayer made a ruling preventing Elon Musk's Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) from accessing records of the Treasury Department, further exemplifying the judiciary's involvement in overseeing executive actions.
