West jerusalem: US Vice President JD Vance reportedly asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to give the Gaza ceasefire agreement "a chance."

According to Anadolu Agency, Israel's Channel 12 cited both US and Israeli officials in its report, indicating that during his meeting with Netanyahu, Vance emphasized the importance of allowing the ceasefire deal to proceed. Vance reportedly stated, "Give the deal a chance and give us time to make things happen."

Netanyahu responded positively to Vance's request, expressing willingness to allow the agreement to progress. He reportedly affirmed, "I also want to see the agreement succeed," as noted by officials familiar with the conversation's details.

An American official present at the meeting remarked that Netanyahu appeared receptive to Vance's messages regarding the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire and advancing the implementation of the agreement's subsequent stages.

Additionally, an official indicated that the US administration is attempting to gather economic, military, and diplomatic support from Arab states for an international force anticipated to be established and stationed in Gaza. This force is expected to aid a peace council aimed at securing funds for rebuilding efforts in the Gaza Strip.

Vance, who is currently on an official visit to Israel, met with Netanyahu on Wednesday in West Jerusalem.
