Strait of hormuz: A vessel was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, the UK Maritime Trade Operations center (UKMTO) said Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, in a time-late report, UKMTO stated that a verified source reported the vessel was struck at 2040GMT on Monday. No damage or environmental impact was reported, and authorities are investigating the incident.

UKMTO has advised vessels transiting the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity. The incident comes amid heightened maritime tensions in and around the Strait of Hormuz due to the ongoing conflict involving Iran and the US.
