Vietnam: Vietnam is planning to train at least 10,000 highly skilled AI professionals, including 1,500 focused on core technologies, by 2030. Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau signed the National Program for the Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Human Resources on Tuesday, as reported by a government site. The program is designed to develop a workforce in AI that meets the scale, structure, and quality required for strategic technology sectors.

According to Anadolu Agency, the initiative aims to make AI use and application an essential competency for learners, workers, and management and administrative staff by 2030. The program targets at least 80% of high school and pre-university students to receive foundational AI knowledge and skills suitable for their age. In higher education institutions, the goal is for 100% of students to be equipped with these skills.

Additionally, the program expects at least 90% of officials, civil servants, and employees in public service units to update their AI knowledge and skills, with a 100% target for workers in the education and training sector. Furthermore, a minimum of 100,000 teachers, lecturers, and education administrators will undergo in-depth AI training, reflecting the country's commitment to bolstering its technological capabilities.
