Ankara: Saudi Civil Defense announced on Wednesday that early warning sirens were temporarily activated in Dammam, located in eastern Saudi Arabia, as a precautionary measure against potential Iranian attacks, as reported by Al Ekhbariya TV. The sirens were intended "to warn of danger" and were later deactivated after the alert status was lifted from the city.

According to Anadolu Agency, recent tensions have escalated due to a series of military exchanges between the United States and Iran. The United States has been conducting strikes across Iran, which have been met with retaliatory actions by Tehran targeting what it claims are U.S. military facilities and bases in several regional countries.

Despite the ongoing exchange of hostilities, a framework agreement was brokered by Pakistan and signed by both the United States and Iran in June. This agreement aimed to cease the conflict that began in February and lay the groundwork for a lasting peace accord. However, the recent incidents indicate that the path to peace remains fraught with challenges.
