The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for heavy thunderstorms and hail for Thursday. The warning is valid from 12:00 until 18:00 in the afternoon (local time). According to the Department, isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect mainly the mountainous areas, the inland and the southeast areas of the island. In storm hail is expected while winds may be variable strengthening. Precipitation rate is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimetres per hour. Source: Cyprus News Agency
