A yellow warning for isolated thunderstorms was issued on Thursday by the Cyprus Department of Meteorology. As stated, isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect mainly mountainous areas and possibly inland areas. It added that the precipitation rate is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimetres per hour, while hail is also likely to fall.
