Al-bayda: The Yemeni army announced that more than 20 airstrikes have struck Houthi positions and military assets in the central Al-Bayda province, resulting in significant losses.

According to Anadolu Agency, the airstrikes targeted several Houthi locations, including gatherings, vehicles, missile launchers, and a communications system in the districts of Al-Zahir, Dhi Na'im, Al-Sawadiyah, and Mukayras. The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center indicated that the attacks caused considerable losses in personnel and equipment, though specific figures were not disclosed.

In a separate incident, the government-aligned Giants Brigades reported intercepting and shooting down a Houthi first-person view (FPV) attack drone before it could reach its intended target. However, the location of the interception and the intended target of the drone remain unspecified.

The Houthis have yet to issue any statements regarding these claims. Earlier in the day, the Yemeni army reported that its warplanes targeted and destroyed dozens of Houthi trucks carrying weapons, ammunition, and missiles from Taiz towards Sanaa, the capital under Houthi control.

These developments occur amid escalating conflict across Yemen. The Houthis have reported advances along the western coast, while government forces have claimed progress in the northern Al-Jawf province and conducted strikes on Houthi positions in Taiz, Lahj, and Al-Dhale.

Yemen has been mired in conflict since the Houthis seized control of Sanaa and several other provinces in 2014. A Saudi-led coalition intervened in 2015 to support Yemen's internationally recognized government.
