Yemen: Yemen's army targeted Houthi fighters, military vehicles and positions with drones across several fronts in the central Marib province on Monday, according to the Armed Forces Media Center.

According to Anadolu Agency, the center reported that Yemeni military drones launched strikes on Houthi fighters positioned on the Alam front in the Sixth Military Region and targeted the rear area of a Houthi camp on the same front. In addition, Yemeni forces executed drone attacks on Houthi fighters in the Al-Zour-Rawdat Jaham area, targeting their air defense systems and a mortar position in the Al-Radha Mountains.

Further drone strikes were directed at Houthi equipment in the Al-Kasara sector and fighters positioned on the Al-Akad front. The Armed Forces Media Center also reported a targeted strike against Houthi fighters and vehicles that had moved into the Al-Tibas area. This operation involved monitoring the group by aircraft before engaging them with a 120 mm projectile fired from a Qasef-3 aircraft.

The Armed Forces Media Center released videos claiming to show these operations but did not disclose information regarding casualties. The escalation in drone usage by Yemen's army comes as fighting has periodically intensified along several Yemeni fronts since last month, resulting in numerous fatalities and injuries on both sides.

The recent hostilities emerge after a period of relative calm in Yemen since April 2022, following nearly 12 years of conflict between government forces supported by a Saudi-led coalition and the Iranian-backed Houthis, who took control of the capital, Sanaa, and substantial parts of the country in 2014.
