Sanaa: Yemen's Houthi group announced on Saturday the arrest of a spy network working for the US and Israel. A statement by the Houthi-run Interior Ministry hailed the arrest as a 'significant security achievement,' saying the suspects gathered information and surveilled senior Houthi officials, without specifying their number.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry detailed that the cells monitored Yemen's infrastructure and attempted to identify military and security structures, weapons manufacturing sites, and locations for launching missiles and drones. It further stated that the suspects were involved in causing civilian casualties in attacks carried out by the US and Israel in Yemen.

The ministry announced that confessions from the cell members will be released soon. There was no immediate comment from the US or Israel on the claim. The Houthis had previously announced the dismantling of similar spy networks, most recently in May 2024, when it claimed to have uncovered a spy network working for the US and Israel.
