Young Palestinian Dies of Injuries from Israeli Fire in Occupied West Bank

Qalqilya: A young Palestinian succumbed to injuries on Monday following an incident involving Israeli army fire during a military raid in the northern West Bank, as reported by the Health Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Health Ministry identified the victim as 21-year-old Bara Qabalan. He was critically injured during the raid and succumbed to his wounds in Qalqilya.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the incident occurred on Sunday evening when Israeli forces killed one Palestinian and wounded two others, one critically, in Qalqilya before detaining them.

Since October 2023, at least 1,092 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 11,000 others injured in attacks by the army and illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied territory. Additionally, over 21,000 people have been arrested.

In a landmark opinion in July of the previous year, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
