Damascus: The YPG/SDF terrorist organization has been reported to plant explosives in passages, tunnels, and various other strategic locations in areas where it was previously deployed. According to the Syrian Army Operations Directorate, these explosives have been placed in houses, household items, and vehicles, leading to casualties after detonation.

According to Anadolu Agency, the terror group has also booby-trapped religious sites, including mosques, and placed explosives in copies of the Quran, positioning them in inappropriate locations. The Syrian Army has issued warnings to civilians in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, as well as in the eastern rural areas of Aleppo, advising them to steer clear of suspicious objects and report any unusual activities to the authorities to ensure their safety.

Images circulating on social media depict YPG/SDF members booby-trapping civilians' belongings, such as canned food containers and tea packages, as they withdrew from occupied areas. One image shows wires concealed under a tea box, equipped with an explosive device. Additional social media reports suggest that the terrorist organization has also rigged some vehicles it abandoned in the city of Hasakah with explosives.

The Syrian Presidency announced on Tuesday that a 'mutual understanding' had been reached with the SDF regarding the future of Hasakah province. In conjunction, the Defense Ministry declared a four-day ceasefire with the SDF. Despite the ceasefire, the SDF initiated a series of attacks on Syrian positions on the first day, resulting in the deaths of 11 soldiers and injuries to 25 others.

The Syrian Army has recently reclaimed numerous territories in the countryside of Aleppo, as well as in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, from the YPG/SDF.
