Zelenskyy and Croatian Prime Minister Discuss Regional Energy Security and EU Integration

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on strengthening regional energy security and expanding cooperation in gas and oil supply, and storage. The meeting took place on Tuesday, focusing on vital regional issues.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Ukrainian presidential media service reported that the leaders also discussed Ukraine's European integration process and the steps needed to achieve EU membership. Zelenskyy emphasized the significance of Plenkovic's visit, describing it as a 'strong expression of friendship and solidarity with Ukrainians.' In recognition of this support, Zelenskyy awarded Plenkovic the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 1st Class, a state award honoring distinguished service to Ukraine in various fields such as state-building, strengthening international standing, and contributions to the economy, science, education, culture, health care, and public service.
