Washington: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that efforts are currently underway to develop the content of security guarantees for Kyiv. This announcement follows a summit in Washington where Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump and several European leaders.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy shared this update on the social media platform X, describing the discussions held in the US as 'important talks' and a 'significant' step towards ending the ongoing war in Ukraine while ensuring the security of the nation and its citizens. He emphasized the commitment to working on the specific details of the security guarantees, mentioning ongoing coordination at the leadership level and preparations for further discussions in 'relevant formats.'

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Ukraine's partners for their determination and support, affirming the country's resolve to pursue peace through partnership and security guarantees. President Trump hosted the meeting at the White House, where he indicated that his administration is preparing for a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy, followed by a trilateral summit involving the leaders of the US, Russia, and Ukraine.
