Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian military personnel are actively involved in consultations regarding the future operations of the Strait of Hormuz. This involvement marks a strategic move as Ukraine looks to expand its role in international security matters.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy shared via Telegram that Ukraine is in the process of preparing its European security proposals. These efforts are modeled after recent negotiations that took place in the Middle East and Gulf regions. He highlighted the importance of safe navigation as a global concern, drawing parallels with Ukraine's experiences in the Black Sea.

Zelenskyy emphasized the demand for Ukraine's expertise in defense systems among Arab countries, which led to the establishment of long-term security cooperation agreements. He indicated that upcoming weeks will focus on collaborative efforts with European partners, including joint productions, defense modernization, and security coordination.

The Ukrainian President acknowledged the fluidity of the geopolitical landscape, especially in light of developments involving Iran and the dynamics between Europe and the United States. Despite these uncertainties, he underscored the importance of long-term security interests for Europe.

Zelenskyy also revealed that Ukrainian diplomats have been tasked to respond to requests from Asian countries, emphasizing swift and effective cooperation. Following the US-Israeli strike on Iran, several Arab nations sought Ukraine's assistance in organizing defenses against Iranian drones, which Zelenskyy stated was successfully executed.
