London: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared that Europe stands united in its resolve for genuine peace and security guarantees for Kyiv. Speaking after a summit with European leaders in London, Zelenskyy emphasized the continent's collective support and readiness for cooperation.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy highlighted the consensus among European nations, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, Norway, and Trkiye, on the necessity of real security guarantees to ensure peace. He pointed out that diplomacy would play a central role in achieving these objectives, with forthcoming meetings and efforts expected in the days and weeks ahead.

Zelenskyy mentioned that Europe would soon consolidate its positions to present them to partners in the United States. He expressed gratitude for the US support, acknowledging that Ukraine's resilience and independence are significantly bolstered by the efforts of its partners.

The London summit, hosted by UK Premier Keir Starmer, followed a tense exchange between Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump, as well as Vice President JD Vance, at the White House. The disagreement stemmed from Zelenskyy's skepticism about diplomacy leading to peace, which was met with criticism from Trump and Vance over his perceived lack of gratitude for US support. This led to the cancellation of a minerals deal signing ceremony and press conference, prompting Zelenskyy to depart the White House.

During the London meeting, Starmer proposed the formation of a "coalition of the willing" to enforce any potential peace agreement in Ukraine. The UK and France are set to collaborate on drafting a peace plan to present to Trump, marking a significant step in the ongoing diplomatic efforts.
