Beirut: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed on Monday that Russia received a new batch of ballistic missiles from North Korea. In a statement on Telegram, he said that Moscow is allegedly preparing to deploy an additional contingent of North Korean forces on its territory. "Russia received a new batch of ballistic missiles from North Korea," he stated.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy made these remarks while discussing Ukraine's long-range strikes against Russian targets. He highlighted that Ukrainian forces hit another Russian oil-refining facility in Tobolsk, Siberia, located more than 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine. He described this operation as a significant achievement for the Ukrainian military, emphasizing that Ukraine's long-range strike capabilities would continue to grow.

Moscow and Pyongyang have reportedly strengthened their military ties under a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement signed in 2024. As of now, Russia has not commented on Zelenskyy's claims, and independent verification remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
